Day 65, Freedom Of Speech.
For the last seven weeks I have posted some fairly depressing images. My words have detailed and highlighted my own fustrations, resulting at times, in some rather blunt, but honest, commentary. So now, I'm going to take a break and let others do the talking.
I hope that the next twenty images will provide a lighter, yet deeply poignant look at how the folks "down bayou" are feeling.
I love these signs, no matter what their message, affliations or passion. If you had the misfortune of driving behind me, as I braked, u-turned and reversed along the byways of Louisiana, I apolgise, but I will never pass up the oppourtunity, to capture these wonderfully individual "freedoms of expression."
These folks have taken the time, with plywood, paint and originality, to advertize their inner feelings. So please, regardless of your party affillation, pay them a compliment and take a little time to pass them along. Thank you.
I am presently working on two new Galleries of images and text dealing with the landfill disposal of 'Oil Contaminated Clean-up Materials' and the re-building of the Barrier Islands through 'Dune Restoration'.
